CKDR, 92.7, Dryden, Ontario went live in 1963 as a repeater of CJRL in Kenora. In 1968 CKDR became an independent, full service radio station and today is the nucleus of a number of smaller communities where regional government services are centralized. Total local involvement and an easy to listen to adult contemporary music format serves the communities well and the reach, thanks to repeaters in Ignace at 97.5FM, Hudson at 1450 AM and Ear Falls at 97.5 is extensive. This network has been serving North Western Ontario since 1977.
